Welcome 02:56
Imagine that today You had to decide your fate Imagining your ways Are getting in your way When anything means everything Cuz after school we’re told, we’re told Abandon all improbable Oh you helped me know, me know It’s like you told me It’s like you told me Welcome to this lonely world Welcome to this lonely life It’s a poet’s suicide To finally leave it all behind Can see the view from here Grasping to hold on Knowing it’s only fear That’s getting in my way Now everything is anything If only then we’d known we’d known Follow doubt as principle Letting go the stones we’ve thrown Oh it’s easy how a photograph Can turn back time

Bullets Did the Reverend think it would go this far? A Nobel thought lost to war And Wan Hu instead of fly sent Rockets over the rising tide When thoughts of self come creeping through Anyone would think better me than you To be higher than the highest flag Or better than the longest reign Cuz here we are Here we are Here we are Why can’t we leave it alone? How bout we just say no How come it’s so damn difficult To test your pride you check your gun Now go ‘head point it at everyone You’re sick of leaving a shred of doubt Fallen in, or fallen out It’s a race we can’t win There’s no silver lining Cuz here we are Here we are Here we are The size of bullets remind us that we need to finish what we started cuz here we are right back where we came from I know they say it will take a lot How many figures will be enough? in battlefield, and catacomb they speak in tounges that we don’t know he lies awake He can hear the bombs crashing When we lie asleep is when we’re finally free

WINOK 04:16
WINOK How do you find the heart to forget While we watch the world burn? How do we find the way back home When they wonder where home is? A million lives, across the sea But are you happy where you are? It seems to be But does the castle fall at once, Or do the stones crumble slow The time has passed for wait and see That time passed long ago Now it’s serious And the fire glows What if no one knows? While the serpent slides down the vine I think What if no one knows? If only one of us could turn it off I still think to myself What if no one knows? How do we find the heart to forgive Yeah we forgive all that’s wrong How do you find the light in winter As the cold wind blows A thousand lies Told in threes But are you happy where you are? Seems to be

Come Over 04:07
Here we are tonight You moved right past my side I’ve often cast thoughts but now I’ve Moved my eyes onto you Turn Away The Games we play Why don’t we dispense All formality You’re here but not with me It probably won’t last but that’s no Reason to ignore instinct You and me You will see Come over, come all the way over Can’t wait to have all of the night here You are the one I want over Come over, come all the way, all the way across the floor I see but I want more Although we’ve not met before We may not ever meet again I’m yours to take, I’m yours to take And Still you’re waiting there You’ve got me in your sight One move I’m yours tonight Instead of never knowing It’s a chance worth taking All we need Is You and me You suddenly remind me Of what’s been missing Your look’s so inviting Won’t you stay with me? This night we’re deserving Goodness of feeling Let’s not say that we’ll grow Just so you know, so will you

Nearly 10,000 days ago I had a say in how it would unfold Now it’s just an avalanche Of things I can’t control It’s me versus the world I think I prefer it that way What good is an ally that would gladly sell your soul? How long can I Wonder and Wander? How long can I Wonder and Wander? I’m feeling a little bit under the weather But I think I’ll be pulling through And get away, I’ll get away I’m waiting a little bit longer than normal To tell you what I’m gonna do But there’ll be a day, there’ll be a day ‘cuz all these things might fade away When it’s live or die right away
6.
I can’t believe Everything I ever knew has been Not what it seems I’m trying to get by in this big city I walk these streets Falling in love with anyone I meet But I know it’s me Getting what I want but not what I need It won’t be long Til we don’t belong It won’t be long Til we don’t belong I’ll take my time Wait until everything is just right But by then it’s gone Try to sum it up in a song

Search 03:35
Search and Search you may find, in the end, The answer you were looking for all the time Search and Search you may see, in the end, The world ain’t as blue as you thought it would be Fly away now these wings alone won’t spread out And take you there Fly away now this parachute won’t get you to the ground Cuz there’s good when the sand meets the shore and the sky Falls like velvet on your eyes But there’s bad in the man who would steal just to feed this habit he’s got to live You can feel yourself letting go As your grip starts to fade and these thoughts run through your mind Everyday you may see a warring world, a better way, or a child’s smile Why do I see these things exist oh how do we make the choice? Is it in our blood to self destruct? Isn’t there a better choice? Ooh, I don’t know

I lie awake all I seem to see Are my dreams in front of me I can’t find a place to rest while I fall Trying to make sense of it all Cuz I hope you understand, my love It’s all lost in these moments I’m here and I’ve found out I’m crying out as loud as I can You’ll know home When I’m crying out as loud, as loud as I can I’m lying awake This world’s asleep It gets the best of me I’m gone without a trace, I’m here but erased And I’m all but blown away Cuz I hope you understand, my love It’s all lost in these moments Wanted to wake and rise from this sleep Wanted to touch, not just believe Once is enough, keeps happening Is it my mind stuck in a dream So will I turn stand ‘til I’m right So many chances so many times And I’ve fallen

20 Miles 04:24
I am trying to understand A simple message sent to me today Instructions for survival A lesson for 200 yrs away I’m taking turns on the telephone But I won’t let it ruin my afternoon So the storm is gathering But so aren’t we now The flashing of the bulbs It kept me awake And now I am 20 miles away And I might hear you say Hang on, hold out, come back down Stop everything The car’s outside full of our things But now we’re living without a net And what good is a lifeline that won’t work? Minutes go, like a ghost Now I’ve got to show some sympathy While the storm is gathering We’ve got to leave here The flashing of the bulbs It kept us awake And now I am 20 miles away And I can hear you say Hang on, hold out, come back, wait for it We came to wait for it

We Are 05:33
Oh it’s nice to feel the rain It feels like we’re coming back again And I wonder why I’m lonely on my own You never seem too far away But is it a place too safe to stay Or believing we could ever change our ways But things never stay the same seven years or seven nights we never seem to get it right Holding nothing back we’ll wish for better days Careful there, you’re stuck and staring at the wheel who’s to drive I was the only one around Now I’m lonely on my own We are the lucky ones We are the fortunate We’re fading fast enough We are, we are Now it’s right we feel the same It feels like we’re coming back again Settle all your thoughts and know there’s better days You never seem too far away I guess it’s a place too safe to stay While believing we could ever change our ways It was simple when we were young and tired of what we’d seen We believed that it was all a part of me Careful there, you’re stuck and staring at the wheel who’s to drive I was the only one around

Sleep has abandoned me My mind is at large outside No words can save this They are meaningless Can’t change them Can’t always reason what the reason is For anything What if I think I failed to see What was given me What if I chose differently Stop to realize I want to know Why do I? So, I’ve come to find that It’s finally time to say goodbye Don’t tell me that I didn’t try I tried and tried again Can’t always reason what the reason is For anything Sometimes you just know when

about

In the winter of 2008, the band set out to a remote getaway along the coast of Massachusetts to write and arrange the songs for a new album, evolving into “The Days of the Getaway”. The album was recorded and engineered with acclaimed producer, and past collaborator Matthew Ellard and his team at Mad Oak, Camp Street, and Bubble + Squeek Studios; all in the Boston area. The band then traveled to NYC to master the album with past collaborator Fred Kevorkian at NY’s famed Kevorkian/Avatar Studios.

With this new album, Clarias has certainly grown into a whole new sound lush with multi-layered arrangements, soaring guitars, and a new rock all their own.
